Therapy for Women During Pregnancy, Postpartum & Beyond

You may be struggling with infertility or pregnancy loss. Or experiencing fear, depression, or anxiety during pregnancy. Many women have traumatic or difficult birth experiences or notice past traumas resurfacing during this life transition.

Perhaps you’re wondering if what you’re feeling is normal - or if it’s postpartum depression or anxiety. Many mothers feel anxious, irritable, or overwhelmed during pregnancy and the postpartum period.  They may not recognize it as depression or anxiety but instead think they are failing in their role as a mother or letting their family down.

Maybe you’ve gone back to work after maternity leave and are struggling to balance work and parenthood.  Or you're a mom of toddlers or older children, stretched thin and exhausted. You’re trying to make it through the day, meet everyone’s needs, and keep up with all the expectations and tasks of motherhood.  You want to feel less overwhelmed and more like yourself again.

I work with moms at all stages of motherhood.  I help women cope with the emotional aspects of peripartum mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, and high-risk pregnancies.  I specialize in working with mothers as they navigate the transition to parenthood, adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities as their children and families grow, and address challenges along the way.

I specialize in prenatal and postpartum mental health and have a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International (PSI). The PSI Certification is an evidence-based training on assessment and treatment of perinatal mood disorders. To become certified, a therapist must attend advanced trainings and complete a national recognized testing program.
